Adventures & Attractions - Winter
While Jasper is known for its amazing outdoor adventure, the great indoors in the community will give you a taste for local arts, culture, and history.
Our new winter location at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge – Come spend an evening with local experts in our heated 50-seat dome theatre. Plus just outside the dome, enjoy our telescope experience in a winter astronomy wonderland.
Jasper Riding Stables
Cozy up on the horse-drawn sleigh with Jasper Riding Stables for an old fashioned ride on Pyramid Lake. They provide the sleigh bells and blankets!
Rockies Heli Tours
Climbing 500 feet per minute gets you above the peaks to take in the vast Rocky Mountain landscapes, glaciers, streams and rivers of Jasper National Park. There are a variety of year-round helicopter tours available to the Cline and Wilson Glaciers, as well as a tour to the Columbia Icefield. Few people experience the Rockies by air and we think it is an experience that you will remember for a lifetime.
Jasper Fitness & Aquatic Centre
Jasper is home to a modern and well-equipped recreation centre. Inside, you’ll find a 5,000 sq-ft fitness centre includes a bouldering wall, stretching room, and spin-bike studio. The attached aquatic centre boasts a 25-metre, 6-lane pool, a shallow wading pool, a water slide three-storeys tall, and a diving board for swimmers. After swimming a few laps or splashing around with the kids, relax in the hot tub and steam room.
